In May 2014 BARBURRITO approached AfroditiKrassa, as the second largest burrito chain in the country, to re-brand their family-run-style chain of Mexican inspired British restaurants.
Since completing the pilot in Cardiff, the restaurant group entrusted AfroditiKrassa to renovate their existing eleven restaurants and complete four brand new sites each year indefinitely.
For each site, AfroditiKrassa consummates the layout and operation for customers and staff alike, from social seating to optimum kitchens and serving bars.
To create a strong BARBURRITO identity, new bags, trays, cups and signage now show the welcoming BARBURRITO food lifestyle. The updated look also includes a developed BARBURRITO Spanglish language, showcasing the humour, passion and evolved maturity of the team behind the scene. Where the restaurants used to feel more take-away than sit down, AfroditiKrassa has kept the service rapido y con mucho amor, but reinvisioned how those that want to make the most of the restaurant receive the full BARBURRITO welcome.
Equally mashing British graphics with Mexican colours and imagery, the identity is bold, recognisable and fun. Quirky additions of sacks representing the rice used in the tortillas, the brands colours are used throughout each interior, even bringing some of the outside in with busy foliage lining feature walls.
